About Our Firm

Lancaster Financial & Valuation Services, LLC is a certified public accounting firm. We provide services to a variety of clients in many different industries. We commit to our clients to provide our services in a timely and professional manner. Our Mission Statement reads:

Lancaster Financial & Valuation Services, LLC was founded by Bryant J Lancaster, CPA, CVA and started doing business on January 1, 2008. Prior to this, the predecessor firm Albretsen, Lancaster & Associates provided the firm's professional services. We are located at 1935 E. Vine Street Ste 250, Salt Lake City, UT 84121

Our Mission

Our mission is to help clients maintain financial viability in the present while taking a proactive approach to achieve future goals. This requires open communication to reach an understanding of our clients' needs, thorough research, and sound analysis. Lancaster Financial Valuation Services is dedicated to meeting these goals with high standards of excellence and professionalism.

Our Team

Our firm consists of one (1) professional, Bryant J. Lancaster, CPA, CVA and three administrative and accounting support staff.

Bryant Lancaster, CPA, CVA

Bryant J Lancaster, CPA, CVA received his BS in accounting from the University of Utah in 1983. Upon graduation he accepted a position with Marathon Oil Company located in Findlay, Ohio. While at Marathon Oil Company, Bryant worked in the mergers & acquisitions division of the internal audit department. His responsibilities were focused on auditing the financial records of potential companies actively being pursued for acquisition by the Company. In connection with the audit of these companies the internal control procedures were evaluated for their adequacy. Based upon the internal control evaluation and audit of the financial records an internal valuation was assigned to the prospective acquired company which served as a basis for contract negotiations. During his employment at Marathon Oil Company, Bryant was exposed to international accounting issues and received a variety of experience with different types of companies in many different industries.

After leaving employment with Marathon Oil Company, Bryant accepted a position with Ernst & Whinney, a national certified public accounting firm in the Salt Lake City office in January 1985. It was at Ernst & Whinney that Bryant started his career in public accounting. His experience at Ernst & Whinney gave him the opportunity to work with clients in many different industries. The size of client ranged from the large publicly traded companies to the small business enterprises. Some of the small business enterprises started with nothing more than an informal business plan and they relied on consulting services provided by Ernst & Whinney to guide them in their implementation and growth plan.

In 1992 Bryant started his own certified public accounting practice and has been providing professional services to the business community ever since. With the business environment ever changing Bryant decided that developing services in specialized industry was the way to grow his firm. With his background in mergers & acquisitions and general tax and accounting it made sense to growth the firm by providing business valuation services. His experience in industry as well as public accounting uniquely qualify him and provide deeper insights to the valuation of private businesses. In order to further qualify him to provide these business valuation services Bryant became credentialed in November 2006 as a certified valuation analyst (CVA) with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). NACVA is one of the leading organization that provide standards, qualifications and training to valuation professionals engaged in the discipline of business valuations.

Jamie Shepherd

Jamie Shepherd received her associates degree in accounting from LDS Business College and her four year degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix. Jamie has been associated with the firm since 1993. Her primary responsibilities include providing accounting, payroll, and tax services to our clients. In addition, she assists in preparing financial analysis in conjunction business valuation services provided to our clients. She is a QuickBooks Professional Advisor and as such has the ability to provide accounting support to clients who use the QuickBooks accounting software package.
